MAN U x Adidas x versus

Continuing my work in women’s football, I was asked to partake in an amazing collaboration between Manchester United, adidas and VERSUS. I designed and created a limited capsule collection of wearable women’s lifestyle pieces upcycled from existing Man U Men’s merch.

The collaboration was a celebration of women’s football and the women’s team’s ongoing success. VERSUS photographed the team wearing the pieces for an editorial and the pieces were showcased for members at Old Trafford.

The capsule collection was one of my favourite sets of items to make, and included a mash up jersey featuring all three club jerseys, a sweater vest made out of a scarf and an asymmetrical puffa jacket from an oversized coat. I had creative control over the designs and I loved how I could weave the customary Lydia Bolton style into each of the pieces - from the patchwork to the asymmetry.
